To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make an announcement on the responses received from within Wales to the consultation paper "Tenant Involvement and the Right to Manage".

The consultation paper "Tenant Involvement and the Right to Manage" was issued for consultation in December 1992. Recipients were invited to submit responses by 26 February 1993. Seventeen were received by that date from local authorities and others in Wales, with a further four arriving afterwards. Respondents broadly welcomed the Government's proposals for increased tenant involvement and the expansion of tenant control through the new right to manage. The responses contained a number of helpful and constructive suggestions on detailed points, which will be taken into account when regulations and guidance are prepared.A summary of respondents from within Wales is as follows:

Copies of the responses are available for examination in the Welsh Office Library.
