To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many people in Wales the enterprise allowance scheme has helped since 1983; and if he will make a statement.

The enterprise allowance scheme has helped 37,958 people in Wales since 1983. The scheme was replaced by the business start-up programme in April 1991.
