To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will give for the Black Country development corporation the names of the chairman and board members, their occupations or professions and their level of allowances or remuneration payable.

The board of the Black Country development corporation is comprised of:

  • Members—
  • Roger Carey—Executive Director, construction group
  • Bill Clarke—Local Authority Councillor
  • John Edwards—Local Authority Councillor
  • Roger Burman—Chairman, electronics group
  • Mike Bird—Local Authority Councillor
  • Ian Flanagan—Chartered Surveyor
  • Dr. Diana Green—Deputy Director, higher education
  • Michael Worley—JP, TEC Chairman
  • Hugh Ellis Rees—Former Regional Director in DOE
  • James Antill—Chairman, private sector
The chairman receives £25,230 for two days per week. The deputy chairman receives paid £17,185 and each board member £5,030.
