To ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many people were registered as unemployed in the London borough of Greenwich at the last count; and what was the figure three years ago.

[pursuant to the reply, 25 May 1993]: I apologise for the fact that the figure quoted in the original reply related to the parliamentary constituency of Greenwich rather than the London borough of Greenwich. The correct reply follows.Unadjusted claimant unemployment in the London borough of Greenwich stood at 16,643 in April 1993, and 8,214 in April 1990.
