To ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many young people have been waiting for eight weeks or more for a place on a youth training scheme in the Barnsley, East constituency; and what steps he is taking to ensure that a place is provided for them.

Barnsley/ Doncaster training and enterprise council is continuing to ensure that the Government's guarantee to young people is met and is pursuing individual cases.
