To ask the President of the Board of Trade, pursuant to his answer of 20 May, Official Report, column 289, if he will publish full details of his Department's study into the use of CFCs as solvents which highlighted a number of implications for the dry cleaning sector of the early phasing out of CFCs; and if he will make a statement.

The results of the study, "The Use of CFC 113 and 1, 1, 1 Trichloroethane as Solvents in UK Industry" commissioned by my Department from Touche Ross management consultants, were publicised at a conference hosted by DTI in October 1992 at the national motor cycle museum, Birmingham. Copies of the full report have been placed in the Libraries of both Houses, and are available to the public from the DTI Library and information centre.
