That this House takes note of European Community Documents Nos. 7018/92 and the Supplementary Explanatory Memoranda submitted by HM Treasury on 4th February 1993 and the Department of Environment on 14th May 1993, relating to carbon dioxide emissions and energy, SEC(92) 1996, relating to the energy consequences of the proposed carbon/energy tax, 8328/92, relating to cooperation between public utilities and auto-producers of electricity, 4182/93, relating to limitation of emissions of certain pollutants into the air from large combustion plants, 7847/92 + CORI, relating to limitation of carbon dioxide emissions through energy efficiency (SAVE programme), 7757/92, relating to promotion of renewable energy resources (ALTENER Programme), 7569/92 and 5705/93, relating to monitoring mechanisms for carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions, and 7157/92, relating to limitation of carbon dioxide emissions and improvement of energy efficiency; and supports the Government's intention to ensure that the Community's action in these fields continues to take full account of United Kingdom interests.— [Mr. Robert G.
