City Challenge

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on his latest discussions on future rounds of city challenge.

City challenge has already been immensely successful in promoting new partnerships and providing a new impetus to urban regeneration. Future rounds of city challenge will be considered in the light of results from the 1991 census and after taking stock of the lessons from the first two competitions.
