To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what action was taken by Her Majesty's Government to arrange for the extradition of Mr. Christopher Ian Scott from Spain between March 1992 and December 1992 on the basis of the warrant for his extradition issue by West Midlands police on 8 March 1990.

The British embassy in Madrid has remained in touch with the Spanish Government about Mr. Scott's extradition to the United Kingdom. The case is complicated by a charge in Spain outstanding against

Mr. Scott for which he remains remanded in custody there. His extradition to the United Kingdom will take place only once the outstanding charge has been resolved, in accordance with article 19 of the European convention on extradition.
