To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he has taken to invite views from the National Recycling Forum on the United Kingdom national sustainability strategy to be submitted to the UN Commission on Sustainability Development.

The Government are committed to widespread consultation in the preparation of the United Kingdom's national sustainable development plan. We welcome the views of anyone who would like to contribute to this consultation process. As the next stage in the preparation of the United Kingdom's plan, my Department expects shortly to issue a consultation paper and will send this to the National Recycling Forum.
