To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will list the reactor or reactors of origin of plutonium exported to Japan from the United Kingdom since 1975.

Since May 1979, the plutonium exported from the United Kingdom to Japan has arisen from the reprocessing of Japanese irradiated fuel by British Nuclear Fuels plc.

To ask the President of the Board of Trade in what ways plutonium from the Wylfa Magnox power station has been disposed of since his answer of 9 March 1983 to the hon. Member for Bedfordshire, North (Sir T. Skeet), Official Report, column 403.

Since 9 March 1983, arisings from Wylfa power station continue to contribute to the United Kingdom's civil holdings of plutonium under international safeguards. For the latest available data, I refer the hon. Member to the plutonium figures published on 4 February 1993, copies of which have been placed in the Library of the House.
