To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many (a) district nurses and (b) community midwives were employed in the NHS in each of the last five years for which figures are available.
I refer the hon. Member to the reply that I gave her on 11 February at cols. 751–52, for information on national health service district nurses. Information on community midwives is shown in the table.
