To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what steps his Department takes to ensure that London taxi cab drivers are provided with daily information about road barriers in the capital.

The Department and local highway authorities have long-established procedures for advising the media about road closures and restrictions; local radio stations in London have numerous daily bulletins about traffic conditions.
