Urban Waste Water Directive

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what progress has been made by his Department in drawing up plans for the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive in Wales.

The Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive requires member states to establish an implementation programme by the end of this year. Relevant Government Departments, including the Welsh Office, are working with the National Rivers Authority and the water industry in drawing up this programme.
