To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will list the titles and names of contractors for all externally commissioned research work on behalf of the Royal Air Force Institute of Aviation Medicine since 1985.
Mr. Hanley
The Royal Air Force Institute of Aviation Medicine has commissioned only one such contract since 1985. This contract, placed with a British university, was ended in 1991. It is not the practice of my Department to release the names of contractors undertaking work on its behalf.
