To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what measures he is taking in his review of electoral registration procedures to address the difficulties experienced by homeless people in registering to vote.

As part of our post-election review, the electoral registration working group recently met representatives of the Church of England, the Salvation Army, Shelter and CHAR—the campaign for the homeless and rootless—to discuss the difficulties experienced by homeless people in registering as electors. We intend to hold further discussions later in the year.
