To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if she intends to continue to provide funding for the national collections of industrial and marine bacteria.

MAFF will provide funding for this company to the end of the current financial year. The Office of Science and Technology will take over responsibility for Government sponsorship of the company from 1 April 1994. pending the outcome of their review of the national need for culture collections.
