To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will list, for the last three financial years, the contracts of more than £10,000 in value awarded to outside consultants by his Department; what was the purpose of each contract; and whether each contract awarded was subject to competitive tendering.

It is my Department's policy to apply competitive tendering procedures to consultancy contracts. The individual contract information requested cannot be provided other than at disproportionate cost.
