To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how the spent fuel emplaced in the proposed Torness dry store is to be managed and disposed of after the planned period of storage.

A public inquiry into the proposed dry store at Torness has been held. The reporter has not yet produced his report of that inquiry. Meantime, I understand from evidence led by Scottish Nuclear at the inquiry that no decision has yet been taken on the proposed longer-term management and disposal of the spent fuel.
