Recess Dates

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what information he has as to which of the legislatures of the G7 countries operate a system of fixed recess dates.

Canada, France, Germany, Japan and the United States agree recess dates annually, but have a provision to extend or recall the legislature to meet urgent needs as required.
