To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will estimate the number and proportion of households that have owner-occupiers in each of the years 1991 to 1994, according to (a) the age bands under 25, 25 to 29, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 50 to 54 and 55 years and over and (b) household types, married couples, cohabiting couples, lone parents, other multi-person households, and one-person households, on a basis consistent with the evidence recently made available to the Environment Select Committee on the need for provision for social housing. The latest available estimates of the number and proportion of owner occupiers by age and household types are given in the table. These relate to the years 1991 and 1993.Estimates for 1992 and 1994 are not available.
