To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what plans he has to introduce legislation addressing the treatment of child witnesses in cases of child abuse. [35323]

We have no present plans to amend the law in this area. We are, however, currently considering the evaluation of the child evidence provisions of the Criminal Justice Act 1991 which was carried out by Professor Graham Davies.
