To ask the Secretary of state for Defence if he will list the number of British troops in the various countries where they are stationed. [36350]

The number of british Army troops stationed at permanent overseas garrisons is as follows:

In addition, about 74,000 Army troops are stationed in the United Kingdom.Officers and soldiers from these permanent garrisons are deployed on short-term operational and other tours in a further 77 countries including as defence and military attachés.
