There is no list of matters which staff of the Department are precluded by their employment conditions from discussing with their Member of Parliament. They may not, however, without prior permission, disclose official information held by the Department or another Government Department unless it has already been made public, nor should they discuss matters in such a way as to bring into question their political impartiality.
