To ask the Deputy Prime Minister if he will make a statement about the rights of individual members of the public to make complaints to any of the appropriate ombudsmen about services or projects funded through the private finance initiative in his Department. [36835]

Members of the public would have the same rights to make complaints of alleged maladministration to the relevant ombudsman concerning a project funded through the private finance initiative on behalf of my Departments as they would if the project were publicly financed.
