To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement about the rights of individual members of the public to make complaints to any of the appropriate ombudsmen about services or projects funded through the private finance initiative in his Department. [36838]

At present there are no services or projects funded through the private finance initiative in the Department. However, the rights of individual members of the public to make complaints to the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration, who has jurisdiction in these matters, subject to the conditions of the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1967, will be maintained for services or projects funded through the private finance initiative.
