To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage what discussions she has held so far concerning the location of the new British Academy for Sports. [35925]

None. The GB Sports Council is taking this initiative forward. The council is at present developing proposals for the possible structure and content of the British Academy of Sport and, following consultation this autumn, the sports councils across the UK will, by 31 March 1996, be open to consider bids to the national lottery to establish the academy.
