To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will introduce a system of appeals for farmers aggrieved by decisions made within his Department with particular reference to cases where there may be disagreement about what is or not good agricultural practice in regard to set-aside decisions. Mr. Baldry
My right hon. and learned Friend is considering the possible need for a more formal system for hearing appeals against the loss of CAP support scheme entitlement arising from alleged breaches of scheme conditions; he is always prepared to ask his officials to look again at the cases where farmers are genuinely aggrieved at decisions taken by his Department.
