To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what proposals he has to bring milk and dairy inspection charges into line with those in Scotland. [38150]

None. Inspections in England and Wales are carried out by ADAS and the costs recovered from producers. In Scotland, inspections are carried out by environmental health officers and the costs met by the local food authorities.
