Mr. Mark Robinson
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if Britain's requirements for attack and support helicopters now meet the United Kingdom's needs into the next century. [36585]
Mr. Arbuthnot
The orders which were announced during the 1995—for 67 Apache attack helicopters for the Army and 14 Chinook MkII and 22 utility EH101 support helicopters for the Royal Air Force—will ensure that the United Kingdom's requirements for these capabilities will be satisfied for the foreseeable future.
