Inward Investment

To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will list the inward investment to the United Kingdom in excess of £10 million made in each year since 1979. [38334]

For the financial years 1979 to 1995, of the total number of inward investment decisions notified to my Department's Invest in Britain Bureau, in excess of £10 million were 625. In recent years these have included:

These figures are based on information provided by the companies at the time of the announcement of the decision to invest, and take no account of subsequent developments.
