Dishonourable Discharges (Army)

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will list the dates of dishonourable discharges from the Army as a result of breaches of military discipline in the period November 1992 until December 1993 together with the units from which they were discharged. [10498]

"Dishonourable discharge" is not an expression used by the services. Fifteen personnel were discharged with disgrace from the Army during the period 1 November 1992 to 31 December 1993.The list of those discharged under this heading is as follows:

The list does not necessarily show the units at which the individuals were serving at the time they committed the disciplinary offences for which they were discharged. In many cases the personnel may have been discharged from holding units or their manning and record to which they were transferred after the disciplinary offence.The manning and record office accounts for those personnel who are not held on the establishment of a specific unit.
