To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment (1) what was the average cost of (a) a primary and (b) a secondary school Office for Standards in Education inspection in the most recent year for which figures are available; [37780](2) what were the targets for the number of school inspections by the Office for Standards in Education in

(a) 1994ߝ95 and (b) the current school year; and if she will break the targets down for (i) primary schools, (ii) secondary schools, (iii) special schools and (iv) sixth form colleges; and how many have been inspected in the current school year; [37750]

(3) what are the targets for the number of school inspections to be undertaken by Ofsted in the next school year; how many contracts have been awarded; and if she will break the information down for school terms and for (a) primary schools, (b) secondary schools, (c) special schools and (d) sixth form colleges. [37751]
