To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is his estimate of the effect on the public sector borrowing requirement in (a) 1995–96, (b) 1996–97, (c) 1997–98 to date and (d) 1997–98 of the discrepancy between the timing of receipts and disbursements relating to the national lottery to and from the Exchequer; and if he will make a statement.
