Waiting Lists (South-West)

To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) if he will list by health authority in (a) Cornwall and (b) Devon, the number of people on NHS waiting lists for (i) 0–11 months, (ii) 12–18 months and (iii) more than 18 months for (1) each year and (2) each quarter since 1992; [15528](2) if he will list for the South and West Region the number of people on NHS waiting lists for

(a) 0–11 months, (b) 12–18 months and (c) more than 18 months for (i) each year and (ii) each quarter since 1992. [15527]

Health authority based waiting list information is contained in "Hospital Waiting List Statistics: England (Resident Based)". The first published information shows the position on 30 June 1996. Provider based information, which has been available since prior to 1992 and from which regional figures can be obtained, is contained in "Hospital Waiting List Statistics: England". Both these publications are produced on a quarterly basis and copies are available in the Library.
