To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what has been the average custodial sentence applied for manslaughter in Scotland in each year since 1990; and if he will make a statement. [17085]

There is no offence of manslaughter in Scotland. The corresponding offence in Scotland is the common law offence of culpable homicide. The available information is given in the table.
