To ask the Secretary of State for Defence pursuant to his answer of 24 November 1997, Official Report, column 393, if he will discuss with the Masters of Foxhounds Association his Department's interpretation of the MFHA's press release of 8 August in respect of the practice of digging out foxes on the estate; and if he will make a statement. My Department's position on the practice of digging out is clear: it will be neither requested nor permitted on the defence Estate.
