To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions if he will estimate the costs of agriculturally derived water pollution from (a) nitrates, (b) fertilisers generally, (c)pesticides and other biocides and (d) soil erosion; and if he will make a statement. [67714]

The environmental and economic costs of agriculturally derived water pollution are not available centrally and can be provided only at disproportionate cost.
