To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the running of the fifth European Young Consumer Competition, on the Single Currency, in the United Kingdom. [67463]

I have been asked to reply.I fully support the competition's objective of encouraging young people to become more enlightened consumers and communicators so that they can take full advantage of the benefits of the Single Market.
