To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what estimate his Department has made of the annual amount received in Wales from European structural funds between 1992 and 1999; and what percentage these amounts were of the total receipts received under European structural funds within the United Kingdom. Mr. Hain
The information is not available in the format requested since Structural Fund programmes run over a period of years. For the period covered by the present regulations (1994–99), Wales has been allocated £640 million from the Structural Funds, which represents 7 per cent. of the total United Kingdom allocation.
