To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the cost of funding his private offices and those of his ministers in each year since 1992. [74979]
Mr. Dewar
[holding answer 11 March 1999]: The table shows costs since 1992. The amounts include staff costs of private offices and non-pay expenditure covering travel and subsistence, office services and general administration costs for both Ministers and the staff of their offices.
