To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions if he will list the local authorities to which Ministers have written urging greater spending on local services within their portfolio area. [77956]

I am not aware of any specific letters from Ministers at the Department urging greater spending on local services in 1999–2000.
