To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what estimate she has made of the effects on the environment of the level of teleworking (a) now and (b) over the next five years. [91541]

Any measure which reduces the need to travel and leads to reductions in emissions of local air pollutants and greenhouse gases would generally have a positive effect on the environment, but no quantification has been undertaken to measure this.
