To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he plans to bring into effect section 4 and section 76 of the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002; and if he will make a statement. [93258]

[holding answer 27 January 2003]: Section 4 will be brought into force as soon as administrative arrangements for giving effect to the new appeal rights have been put into place. Section 76 will come into effect on 10 February.
