Following receipt of an opinion from the EU Scientific Steering Committee, the European Commission has now proposed further measures to permit the incineration of specified risk material in incinerators operating at less than 50kg/hour.From 1 May the incineration of SRM in such incinerators must comply with these measures as well as those measures already in the Animal By-Products Regulation.
