Fur Farming

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what plans she has to bring in a compensation scheme for fur farmers in conformity with the Human Rights Act 1998. [105415]

The Government's view is that a compensation scheme drawn up under the Fur Farming (Prohibition) Act 2000 will help ensure that the ban on fur farming is fair in all respects.
