To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how many staff in her Department have taken time off from work in order to attend to domestic incidents as provided for by the Employment Relations Act 1999. [108339]

Staff in my Department have the right to take up to five days paid leave to deal with an emergency involving a dependant. Time off for this purpose is not recorded centrally.
