I spoke to the Israeli Ambassador on 19 April 2003 to raise our concerns about the shooting of Mr Hurndall. I asked for a full explanation of this incident following the outcome of the Israeli investigation and detailed the Hurndall family's concerns. The Permanent-Under Secretary at the Foreign and Commonnwealth Office raised it with his Israeli counterpart on 24 April 2003. We are also making representations to the Israeli authorities through our embassy in Tel Aviv.
