To ask the Secretary of State for International Development what role her Department is playing in the de-mining operations in Sudan. [111524]

DFID has provided £1.4 million for mine action in Sudan over the last year. This support was given through the UN Mine Action Service for mine clearance in the Nuba Mountains region, where there is a ceasefire, and to prepare for further mine action throughout Sudan.
