The Government is fully committed to the universalisation of the Ottawa Convention. My officials are in regular contact with Landmine Action, and we support their efforts to encourage non-States Party, including Sri Lanka, to sign up to the Convention. The United Kingdom is in the early stages of assisting the Sri Lankan Army in a restructuring process.
